Here is a sample image of a modern looking patio furniture sofa chair.
With the amount of patio furniture that is available today, you would have a hard time not finding what you are looking for. Most anyone can find some type of style that matches their tastes and needs in furniture design and function. With all the emphasis on outdoor living spaces and making outdoor rooms like extended versions of your indoor spaces, outdoor furniture is getting even more stylish and flexible.
Even chairs that are made for recreation are getting more and more comfortable. I guess all chairs are made for recreation, but some that are made for camping are even more comfortable than many cheap patio chairs on the market today. A camping chairs guide that compares the various styles and functions of these was an eye-opener for me. I ran across this site and found some models I never even knew existed.
So, back to your outdoor space. Sure, you can still find that classic patio set with the four chairs and a table. But, now you can also find a metal and glass end table, a love seat and two captain-type chairs made for the outdoors. You don’t have to simply get by with that old classic garden patio set. There is a side benefit as well to this new patio furniture. Most come with the patio furniture cushions as part of the furniture itself. You will pay more for this very chic and luxury style of seating, but at least you don’t have to also come up with the money for a set of outdoor chair cushions as well.

Chair Cushions For That Teak Furniture

There is some debate as to what types of chair cushions to get in order to make your teak chairs more comfortable. Because of teak’s ability to resist the elements and its nice weathering effects, it is a common – and more expensive – material for patio furniture. It also looks great, so choosing the right cushions is even more critical. I mean, you want them to be comfortable, but you also don’t want to take away from the look of your furniture with a poor looking cushion.
One way to make sure that you are safe is to go for a neutral look. You can use a colorful cushion, in a shade of orange, blue or green or whatever works for your scheme, but keep it simple. The idea is to use a solid color. Sometimes, bold patterns or stripes will take away from the inherent beauty of your teak furniture. The cushions will do a small part in protecting your furniture from excessive aging, but this may also leave parts looking used and parts looking new. It is just one of those trade-offs and something to be aware of.
Cushions for teak benches are really no different than the chairs. In fact, getting a teak bench cushion is just like getting any other garden bench cushion. There is nothing different about the fact that the bench is made from teak or cedar or some other type of wood or stone material. The idea here is simply that teak is such a nice looking wood, that you don’t want to cover it up, especially with a bold looking cushion that will steal your bench’s thunder.
