If you’ve ever been to a sporting event and sat on a cold (or burning hot in the summer), hard, metal bench seat for hours watching a sporting event, then you know the pain not having a seat cushion can cause. Even if you haven’t, you can still understand the pain, right? Now, imagine you’re sitting there on a padded seat that doesn’t let that hard bench ruin your fun. Doesn’t the whole event seem more fun?! You bet it does.
Well, if you’ve invested in a new patio set or have some older patio furniture that you are looking to not only protect, but make more usable, then patio cushions are definitely the answer. Meaning, if you’re at all interested in enjoying the furniture you just spent hundreds if not thousands on, then you’d be crazy not to get some pads for them. And, now is a good time to start searching. Many different styles of seat cushions are available and you can check a lot of the styles out online. Most catalogs that sell them also have a website that you can do your research on. Shipping can be as fast as you want so that you could be sitting on your new bench cushions in no time!

Imagine how much more enjoyable your outdoor entertaining could be in a setting like this.
Patio chair cushions are the tried and true pieces that you can likely find in any store that sells outdoor furniture (brick and mortar or online). There are also a variety of patio swing cushions and other outdoor furniture styles. There is a patio cushion for about anything from porch swings to wrought iron furniture and anything in between that you might be sitting on outdoors. When it comes to fabric choices, there are also many choices. Certain brands are designed specifically to resist the damaging effects of UV light and weather. Sunbrella (TM) is just one of these popular brands. Gone are the days of the 1 or 2 season chair cushions (if you were lucky) only to have to buy them again in the spring.
Can I Get Patio Cushions That Can Stay Outside?
Now, while the fabrics are more resistant to UV, heat, rain and the other elements, it doesn’t make them invincible. Proper care and cleaning are still important measures to take to ensure a long life for your patio cushions. There are a wide variety of benches now that have storage built right into them – a perfect place to store your patio furniture cushions when not in use. While you’re at it, you might want to consider some patio furniture covers that will give your set a much longer life. It’s normal to want to just leave your outdoor space alone, only enjoying it when you want and never having to maintain it, but that just isn’t reality. Treat it well and you will enjoy years of entertainment value with your patio space.
